CRYOCCS® Development Roadmap

From foundational research to the world’s first modular, CO₂-neutral power plant.

2020 - 2023
Fundamental R&D

Concept development, thermodynamic modeling, system architecture, and validation of the CRYOCCS principle.

2024 Q1-Q2
First Prototype

Construction of the first functional CRYOCCS module for controlled testing under real operating conditions.

2024 Q3-Q4
Industrial Validation & Certification Readiness

During this phase, CRYOCCS transitions from prototype operation to full industrial validation. The focus lies on long-duration testing, operational stability, and alignment with relevant safety, grid and environmental standards. Parallel to technical validation, certification pathways are prepared in close coordination with regulatory frameworks applicable to industrial energy and carbon infrastructure. This structured approach ensures that the system is not only technically functional, but also compliant, auditable and ready for large-scale industrial deployment.

2025 Q1-Q2
Testing & Certification

Performance validation, safety tests, regulatory preparation, and industrial partner evaluations.

2025 Q3-Q4
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Readiness

This phase establishes the foundation for scalable and repeatable production of CRYOCCS modules. Manufacturing processes are defined, supplier networks are aligned, and component standardization is finalized to enable efficient series production. At the same time, logistics, quality control and assembly workflows are prepared to support reliable delivery at increasing volumes. The result is a manufacturing setup designed for industrial scale-up, cost optimization and consistent system quality across deployments.

2026 Q1-Q2
Final Product Design

Market-ready design, modular standardization, manufacturing setup and supply-chain readiness.

2026 Q3-Q4
Market Entry

Initial deployments, pilot customers, and scale-up of production capacity.

2027 Q1-Q2
The First Modular Power Plant

Fully integrated CRYOCCS power plants combining energy generation, storage and CO₂ capture.

2027 Q3-Q4
2028 Q1-Q2
Integration in hybride Energiesysteme

Renewables become both more profitable and cleaner, maximising the value of every generated kWh.

2028 Q3-Q4
System-Level Impact: Reduction of Indirect Emissions

CO₂ intensity per kWh decreases at the system level – not only locally, but across the entire energy ecosystem.
